Rajan Vasisht, chair
Rajan is a Political Science and Economics double major from South Jersey (Go Birds). In his free time, he likes to play ukulele, listen to Frank Sinatra, and follow the Supreme Court. Fun Fact: Rajan visited the UN in Geneva this summer!
Michelle Chau, Vice-Chair
Michelle Chau is the Vice Chair for the IAS. She’s a sophomore in the Elliott School studying International Affairs and Economics. Michelle believes the IAS is a great opportunity to meet other globally-interested individuals, as well as participate in professional and cultural events. She loved the embassy visits last year, which are truly experiences that not everyone can say they’ve had.
Claude su, director of finance
Claude is the IAS Director of Finance, overseeing and handling all financial aspects of the organization. He is a senior in the Elliott School studying International Affairs, minoring in Music and History, and loves the IAS for all the opportunities it has provided him throughout his college career!
colette bruder, director of academic programming
Colette is the director of Academic Programming for the International Affairs Society. She hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota and is majoring in International Affairs with a concentration in Security Policy, as well as minoring in English and History. She’ also an Opinions writer for the GW newspaper- The Hatchet- and member of the Model UN team.
Flavio Corsi Mendez, director of communications
Flavio Corsi Mendez manages the IAS social media accounts and event promotion for academic and social programs. As a rising Sophomore at GW, he is excited to be studying International Affairs and Political Science. Flavio's favorite part of the IAS is the connections students can make with Ambassadors, academics, and each other.
Sarah Berlan, director of social Programming
Sarah Berlan is a sophomore from Miami, Florida double majoring in International Affairs/Political Communications with a minor in Spanish. She has a passion for writing, reading, and golf. Sarah is also a member of GW Women in Business, She's the First, and the GW Panhellenic community.
Colin Pate, Model UN Coordinator
Colin Pate is a senior studying Mechanical Aerospace engineering and the current Head Delegate of the GW MUN team. After graduation Colin will receive a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant and attend Pilot training for the United States Air Force. He has been on the MUN travel team ever since he started at GWU, and says his favorite part is not having to do any math.

Kellie Bancalari is the Secretary General of the Washington Area Model United Nations Conference’s 21st iteration. A Senior in the Elliott School, she is majoring in International Affairs and minoring in Journalism. Kellie is looking forward to welcoming over 1,400 students from around the world to Washington D.C. for WAMUNC XXI!

Peter Wells is a sophomore studying political science and economics from central Massachusetts. He serves as Secretary-General of the 24th Greater Washington Conference on International Affairs. His passion for GWCIA stems from the IAS and its ability to help members foster meaningful relationships with others under a common interest in foreign affairs and current events.

Blake Burdge is a junior from Florida who's studying Latin American and Hemispheric Affairs in the Elliott School. He is serving as the Editor-in-Chief for The Globe after having served multiple other positions in years past, and is also in charge of the online edition, The Compass.
jill bendlak, director of gwupie
Jill Bendlak is a sophomore studying Political Science and International Affairs with a concentration in Conflict Resolution. She is currently serving as Director of GWUPIE in the IAS. She is very passionate about Model UN and education. Besides the IAS, Jill is Sisterhood Chair of Delta Phi Epsilon Professional Foreign Service Sorority and a member of GW Balance.
Miles Glazer, Director of Operations
Miles Glazer is a sophomore in the elliot school of international affairs studying International affairs and economics and concentrating in security policy. He currently works as an associate in the Mil Mujeres migrant aid assistance firm, and spends his free time curled up with a good book or wargaming the best way to defeat Russia in world war three.
Emma Starink, Freshman Representative
Emma Starink is from the Bay Area, California. She is majoring in IA with a concentration in International Development and a minor in Biology. Her favorite part about the IAS is the welcoming and upbeat community it creates. Fun fact: She speaks four languages and is learning a fifth!
Zoe Kusnierz, Freshman REPRESENTATIVE
Zoë Kusnierz is from West Orange, New Jersey. She is majoring in International Affairs with a concentration in International Economics and a minor in Business Administration. Some of her interests include International Trade, US-China relations, and Spanish
